Beloved Shadow Oh Beloved shadow My greatest teacher My most loyal friend, Never have you left my side Never have you forsaken me. How many times have I scorned you And attempted to hide from your all pervasive presence? You wanted to hold my hand. I ran away. You whispered. I failed to listen. I would not embrace you. I would not learn your lessons. I would not face my shame. Then came the ultimate test. I was dying. Only you could save me. I reached out for your hand, You were there. You held me. I wept. A fountain of love appeared in my heart. I was cleansed. I saw you as love. I revel in your beauty. I bathe in your spirit. I rejoice in our oneness. I bless our union.
